Job description:

General Description: The Residential House Cleaner is responsible for providing high-quality professional cleaning services to residential clients. This role involves following a specific, branded cleaning system to ensure consistency, hygiene, and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, trustworthy, and takes pride in transforming a home.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Whole-Home Cleaning: Perform detailed cleaning of all rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping floors, and cleaning glass surfaces.
  • Kitchen & Bath Sanitization: Deep clean and sanitize sinks, countertops, toilets, tubs, and showers; clean exterior of appliances (ovens, refrigerators, microwaves).
  • Detailed Dusting: Dusting ceiling fans, light fixtures, baseboards, windowsills, and blinds.
  • Floor Care: Expertly handle various floor types, including hardwood, tile, and carpet, using approved cleaning agents and equipment.
  • Linen Service: Stripping and making beds, and occasionally handling light laundry as requested by the client.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain cleaning supplies and equipment (vacuums, mops, microfiber cloths) to ensure they are clean and in good working order.
  • Customer Service: Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor with clients, ensuring all special requests or instructions are followed accurately.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience: Previous experience in residential or hotel cleaning is preferred but not always required (many companies provide paid training).
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, kneel, bend, and reach for long periods. Must be able to lift up to 25–35 pounds (cleaning kits and vacuums).
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to spot missed spots, streaks on glass, or dust in hard-to-reach areas.
  • Reliability: Must have a consistent track record of punctuality and attendance.
  • Transportation: A valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle are usually required to travel between client locations.
  • Trustworthiness: Ability to pass a comprehensive criminal background check (since you will be entering private homes).

Work Environment & Schedule:

  • Hours: Typically Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Occasional weekend shifts may be available.
  • Location: Various residential homes within a specific territory (e.g., Lakeway).
  • Setting: Work may be performed independently or as part of a 2-person team.
