GSG Talent Solutions is seeking a skilled Public Safety Records Technician IV to join our team in a contract role, specializing in detailed report writing and records analysis. This position plays a critical role in maintaining accurate public safety records by reviewing investigative reports, summarizing findings, and drafting formal documentation. The ideal candidate will have exceptional writing skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to ensure compliance with law enforcement reporting standards. Finalists must pass an in-depth background investigation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and draft detailed reports, letters, and memoranda summarizing investigative findings and actions taken.
- Analyze and extract key information from law enforcement investigative reports for accurate records entry.
- Ensure clarity, accuracy, and completeness of case files related to public safety incidents, fitness-for-duty examinations, and other investigative matters.
- Review and correct incomplete record submissions, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements.
- Communicate professionally with law enforcement agencies to verify and obtain critical details.
- Compile data and summaries for official reports, charts, and presentations as needed.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and security of sensitive information and law enforcement records
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in report writing, records analysis, or investigative documentation.
- Ability to review, interpret, and summarize complex law enforcement reports with accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively document and convey findings.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint) and experience with electronic filing systems.
- Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to pass a law enforcement-sensitive background investigation.
