GSG is looking for a Bilingual Public Health Prevention Specialist II for a contract position until August 2023
This is an in-office position. Candidates MUST be able to report to the office in San Antonio TX
Monday through Friday 8 AM- 5 PM
Job Responsibilities:
- Enters data from various sources for processing and management
- Creates Spreadsheets and transfers sensitive or confidential data efficiently
- Retrieves data from databases or electronic files as requested
- Enter, manages, processes tracks, and analyze data for disease exposure events, treatments, and follow-ups in the system
- Carry out quality assurance for information entered into the system
- Communicate with local hospitals and private physicians and other public health entities to obtain medical information
- Scan and upload documents into the patient s folder on the share drive
- Submit performance measures and other monthly and quarterly reports
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Knowledge of social, economic, and public health issues public health laws and regulations; and medical terminology.
- Skill in the use of a computer and applicable software.
- Ability to interpret public health laws and regulations, to analyze and evaluate public health needs, and communicate effectively.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of public health,
- data collection or data management
- Skill with computer data entry
- Ability to communicate via telephone or Microsoft teams
- Ability to coordinate schedules with other states
- Ability to work independently and self-motivated
