GSG is looking for a Program Specialist VI (Experienced) for a contract position.
This is a fully in-office position.
Candidates MUST be able to report onsite in central Austin, TX.

Pay: $54.07 per hour (weekly pay)
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (expected end date 6/30/26)
Job Description:
Works under general supervision of the Laboratory Reporting Branch Manager and serves as the lead for implementation and management of an Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software solution. This role is responsible for overseeing system deployment, workflow optimization, and user adoption across the program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead full lifecycle implementation of OCR software including planning, testing (UAT), validation, and go-live readiness
- Serve as liaison between laboratory staff, IT, vendors, and stakeholders
- Develop and manage project timelines, milestones, and deliverables
- Configure OCR workflows, document classification rules, and data extraction parameters
- Monitor system performance and optimize data accuracy and processing efficiency
- Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies
- Analyze current workflows and recommend process improvements
- Develop SOPs, training materials, and system documentation
- Present performance updates and recommendations to leadership
- Ensure compliance with data security and reporting standards
- Provide ongoing technical support and training to staff
Minimum Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of project management principles
- Experience with systems implementation, testing, and process optimization
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project)
- Ability to analyze complex data and present findings clearly
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple priorities
