GSG is currently looking for Technician manufacturers in the north Austin area
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Performs troubleshooting operations on electronic, electro-mechanical, mechanical, and product components, assemblies, or sub-assemblies.
- Follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring component installation and product component fitment on assembly units.
- Bolts, clips, screws, and fastens parts together with hand tools for basic product assembly.
- Tests basic operations of machinery based on set checklist using computer interface.
- Documents completion of production processes.
- Identifies and communicates needed assembly correction; corrects assembly issues, as necessary.
- Participates in continuous improvement activities that impact manufacturing processes, procedures, and production schedule.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education / Certification:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
Job Knowledge / Minimum Work Experience:
- 2-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing or related role; industry experience preferred.
- Proficient knowledge of manufacturing processes; company products preferred.
- Ability to perform basic failure investigations and root cause analysis.
- Ability to communicate effectively with peers and leaders.
Computer / Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and operating systems.
- Proficiency in computer hardware and software fundamentals.
REQUIREMENTS:
Work Hours:
Full-time / 40+ hours per week. Must be flexible for overtime, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
