Job Description

Position Summary
The Financial Analyst supports the Texas Emissions Reduction Program (TERP) within the Reimbursement Team by coordinating fiscal and financial processes related to the reimbursement of state funds. This role involves reviewing and analyzing grantee reimbursement requests, ensuring compliance with state and federal financial regulations, and assisting in the development of fiscal procedures to maintain accountability and transparency in program funding.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Data Review and Analysis
• Compile, review, analyze, and evaluate financial data submitted by grantees in reimbursement requests.
• Verify compliance with applicable procedures, requirements, and laws.
• Ensure completeness and accuracy of submitted documentation.
• Conduct peer reviews of financial work performed by other team members.
Program Compliance and Stakeholder Support
• Interpret and explain program and financial requirements to grantees to ensure adherence to state and federal statutes and regulations.
• Represent the TERP Reimbursement Team in meetings with grantees, stakeholders, and internal management.

Financial Process Development and Administration
• Assist in the design, implementation, and management of financial processes, procedures, and controls to safeguard the disbursement of state funds.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives for greater efficiency and accountability.
Reporting and Documentation
• Prepare ad-hoc financial and program reports on the status of reimbursement requests.
• Compile data and responses to inquiries from grantees, management, or legislative offices.


This contract is a remote position until April 2026.
