Education Specialist IV, Expert
Job Description

Pay: $62.71 per hour
Responsibilities
- Review complaint materials and LEA documentation including acknowledgement letters.
- Developing chronological and cross-referenced findings of facts.
- Drafting Investigation Reports.
- Responding up to two rounds of revisions.
- Submitting deliverables within strict TEA deadlines.
- Maintain confidentiality and FERPA compliance.
- Corrective Action monitoring for any substantiated complaints.
Required Skills/Deal Breakers
- Contracted staff must have their own workspace and equipment.
- Graduation from an accredited four-year university.
- At least 4 years of experience in determining and/or correcting noncompliance associated with special education.
- Experience conducting investigations is preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of state and federal special education statutes, rules, and regulations.
- Highly skilled technical and legal writing.
