GSG is looking for a Data Engineer (Programmer IV – Experienced) for a contract
This is a hybrid position with 3 days in-office and 2 days remote.
Candidates MUST be able to report to the office in Austin, TX.
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Pay: $44.62 per hour (weekly pay)
Job Description:
• Design, develop, and implement ETL processes and support data lake management
• Build and manage cloud and on-premises data platforms using tools such as SQL Server, SSIS, Azure Synapse, Spark, and Microsoft Fabric
• Support a major investment application implementation requiring investment data experience
• Create and maintain data models to ensure efficient and structured data storage
• Manage data permissions and enforce data security and access controls
• Perform data analysis and support reporting efforts using various reporting tools
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and define project scope and objectives
• Utilize source control tools (e.g., Git) and support CI/CD pipelines
• Assist with system administration and ongoing maintenance of data systems
• Troubleshoot and debug data-related issues in a timely manner
• Participate in Agile/Scrum activities and contribute to team deliverables
• Support both new and existing data-driven applications
Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field
• 2–3 years of experience designing and implementing ETL processes
• Experience working with investment data
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server, SSIS, Azure Synapse, Spark, and Microsoft Fabric
• Experience with Git or other source control tools and CI/CD pipelines
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
