About the Opportunity
GSG Talent Solutions is seeking a Clerk III to support a Texas State Agency within the Railroad Commission of Texas (RRC), Environmental Permitting and Support Unit. This role supports an important records retention and scanning project and is ideal for candidates who are organized, detail-oriented, and thrive in structured administrative environments.
This position focuses on reviewing, preparing, organizing, and processing records for scanning while supporting document accuracy, compliance, and production workflow. If you have strong administrative support experience and enjoy detail-driven work, this could be a great opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
Review, organize, and prepare active and inactive records for scanning
Place files and reports in chronological order for completeness and accuracy
Process incoming and outgoing documents related to records management
Research and review documents for deficiencies and resolve discrepancies
Retrieve and analyze information from hard copy files, microfilm, and databases
Support records retention compliance and document management workflows
Maintain production standards with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Assist with additional administrative and records support duties as needed
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
At least 24 months of professional administrative support experience
Strong organization and document management skills
Experience using Windows-based applications and general office systems
Ability to work onsite in Downtown Austin Monday–Friday
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with records management, scanning, filing, or document processing
Administrative support experience in a regulated or government environment
Customer service or call center experience a plus
Knowledge of Oil & Gas or regulatory permitting processes preferred but not required
