Position Overview

The Program Specialist IV (PSIV) provides critical support to the Business Support & Planning (BSP) Unit within the Operations Division. This role is responsible for assisting in the planning, development, and execution of agency-wide workforce programs and initiatives, including employee engagement, recognition programs, and leadership development efforts. This position requires a detail-oriented, analytical professional who can manage multiple projects, support data-driven decisions, and contribute to continuous program improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of workforce development programs and initiatives
  • Analyze the effectiveness of current programs and recommend data-driven improvements
  • Participate in meetings, workgroups, and committees supporting workforce initiatives
  • Collect, organize, and analyze qualitative and quantitative workforce data
  • Assist with survey development, reporting, presentations, and communications
  • Manage shared inboxes and calendars, including responding to inquiries and scheduling
  • Maintain and update SharePoint sites, Microsoft Teams channels, and internal/external web content
  • Coordinate logistics, materials, and communications for workforce programs
  • Support agency needs related to disaster response, recovery, or continuity operations when required

Required Qualifications (Dealbreakers)

  • Workforce or HR support experience (REQUIRED)
  • Experience with SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and digital collaboration tools (REQUIRED)
  • Must be willing to work a HYBRID schedule (fully remote candidates will NOT be considered)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience analyzing workforce data using Microsoft Excel
  • Project management experience supporting programs or initiatives
  • Familiarity with tools such as Mural or similar collaboration platforms

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present data
  • Knowledge of workforce planning, HR fundamentals, and research methods
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all organizational levels
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and customer service mindset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams)

Pay Rate: $47.24 per hour
