This is an in-office position in San Marcos, Texas the first 30-90 days for training. Telework schedule OR 4-days telework and 1-day in the office upon Manager approval.

Monday through Friday 8 AM- 5 PM

Job description

Performs child support program technical assistance work. Work involves responding to inquiries regarding case and payment status and coordinating dockets and paternity testing. May provide guidance to others. Works under limited supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

Preferred Skills

  • Skill in using a computer for word processing and data entry and retrieval.
  • Handling multiple tasks, prioritizing, and meeting deadlines.
  • Exercising sound judgment and effective decision making.
  • Receive and respond positively to constructive feedback.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with others in a professional environment.
  • Ability to provide excellent internal and external customer service.
  • Skill in proper use of punctuation, sentence structure, grammar, and spelling.
  • Type 40 words per minute, at minimum.
  • Must be punctual to work.

Required Skills/Deal Breakers

  • Must complete a Typing Test - Information will be provided if selected - Must type 40 words per minute or more to meet the requirements.
  • Must be able to work in-office the first 30 days - if approved you may be approved to work a hybrid schedule.
  • Must pass background check
