Job Description

Job Title: Administrative Assistant I (Financial Services Support Specialist)
 Location: Onsite
 Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
 Pay Rate: $24.53
 Expected Start Date: September 1, 2025, or after
 
Position Overview:
GSG is seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant I to provide essential administrative and financial support in the Financial Resources department. This role supports daily office operations, document processing, digital recordkeeping, and departmental coordination.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process, scan, and maintain financial documentation and records in CAPPS and USAS systems
  • Organize and distribute departmental mail and internal communications
  • Provide backup support across the department as needed
  • Assist with document retention and special project tasks
  • Perform general clerical duties including copying, printing, and data entry
  • Maintain attendance and adhere to agency work policies
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least one year of administrative support experience in an office environment
Required Skills and Competencies:
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to scan and manage electronic files
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Dependability and ability to work with limited supervision
  • Willingness to learn state accounting practices
Physical Requirements:
  • Sedentary office work with prolonged periods of computer use
  • Ability to lift/move objects up to 10 lbs
  • Requires regular attendance and working under deadlines
