GSG is looking for an Accountant for a contract position
Pays $29.09 an hour
This is an in-office position. Candidates MUST be able to report to the office in Austin TX
Monday through Friday 8 AM- 5 PM
Job responsibility
Perform routine to moderately complex accounting and benefit program assistance work in the Client Reconciliation Section in the Finance Division.
Process service purchase payments and service purchase refunds.
Review, audit, and correct members ERS accounts as needed.
Daily reconciliation between multiple data sources within the Pensions/Benefits system.
Modify and run queries to extract data for required reports and tasks.
Communication with internal and external contacts to resolve unreconciled retirement contribution payroll transactions.
Required Experience and Education
Graduation from an accredited senior high school or the equivalent.
Two (2) years of experience with accounting systems and software.
Experience with manual accounting entries (debits & credits), chart of accounts, and trial balances.
