Pay Rate: $46.27 per hour (weekly pay)

Brief Job Description:

Under the supervision of the Case Coordination Supervisor in the Blood Lead Surveillance Branch (BLSB), this position performs highly complex (senior level) public health work and serves as a follow up coordinator responsible for provider and parent notifications for children with elevated blood lead levels. Work involves the coordination, planning and monitoring of the Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program (CLPPP) follow-up activities of children with elevated blood lead levels, within operational parameters. Provides consultation and education to providers, and to the public about issues related to the follow-up of children with lead poisoning.

Required Skills:

· Knowledge of department policy and procedures.

· Knowledge and understanding of disease surveillance and public health problems.

· Skill in computer applications including databases, Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Adobe.

· Skill in planning and implementing actions.

· Skill in planning, organizing, developing, implementing, and managing multiple projects/activities.

· Ability to work with confidential data.

· Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing, to include formal reports.

· Ability to gather, correlate, and analyze data.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Ability to devise solutions to problems.

· Ability to set priorities, organize time, meet deadlines, and work independently within set guidelines.
